What tools/criteria that are used to indicate a students is ready to exit the ELL program?
  • Districts represented required students to meet at least 2 of 3 indicators.
  • ELDA (4+ composite)
  • Norm-referenced Assessment Results (50%ile +)
  • Teacher Recommendation (1-4 Rating, Yes/No - Comment; 2-3 Recommendations from core teachers)
  • State assessments (CRAs, NeSA)
  • Passing all core classes for two semesters

We also shared district policy and our experiences regarding topics such as meeting AMAOs, reading programs, and monitoring students who have exited ELL programs.
